It was great fun photographing the event at Valley of the Moon winery to celebrate their 150th anniversary. It was great fun, great food provided by The Girl and the Fig, The Speakeasies were a lot of fun and well of course the wine was fantastic! They really know how to throw an event in wine country.

Professional images for business or corporations are more important now than ever. They are used in promotional materials, websites, LinkedIn, blogs, speaking engagements etc. Setting consistency in business is always important and now that images are so prevalent these days it’s just as important in most any corporate and professional service industries. Business owners, attorneys, corporations, speakers, realtors, authors and all types of industries are changing from the standard gray or black or white background to something that shows more personality and depth. Environmental corporate portraits can take place in an office or on the street which makes for an image that can really stand out from the rest.
My experience photographing people in and environmental setting have an easier time and feel less stressed in this situation which brings about an image that can express a person and personality far better than the sit here, turn, angle, chin down image. Images have texture and depth that just isn’t the same in a studio shot. I often hear a client say “I just want my image to have more personality than the standard kind of gray look.” This is exactly what you do get.
Living in the San Francisco/Bay Area we truly set the tone in many industries especially in technology and creative industries. There is no reason why your photograph shouldn’t represent you at your best, be something you are actually proud to use and help your business too.
A partial list of my clients are here. If you want an image that resonates and makes a great impression, call me. See the difference yourself.

It sure doesn’t hurt to go to work when this is your ahem, “office” for the day.
This one was a lot of fun to be sure! The event celebrated wines from many different places and brought together people from near and far. Arista Winery in Healdsburg is a fantastic location.
So I’ve been absolutley blessed with the honor of working with the McWilliams family at Arista Winery. They have put together a team of vendors to provide a full service venue from food and music to decor, transportation and of course photography! The people they have pulled together are truly wonderful and I look forward to this venture with them! We had an event last week to bring together other vendors and event planners to see this beautiful new venue and it was a great success. The venue is just amazing with so many options and breathtaking views everywhere you look. So cheers to Arista!! A fun time was had by all. Enjoy a few shots of the night, I have tons more if you are interested in the venue so please feel free to contact me. Be sure to check out the site at www.aristawinery.com!
I had the total honor last week of photographing the San Jose Ballet that was featuring a performance with Loop!Station a really great local band. I first met them and photographed them probably a couple of years ago now (you can find their music on my website actually!) and they were amazing. It was a whirlwind of different performances that apparently the dancers actually designed themselves. It was so hard to narrow down the hundreds of photos but I am including some of my most fave!!
This was a fun shoot! It was early morning Sunday and I had great models. David does amazing things with wood and is starting his own business and these photos were for his new web site. His associate Chunk was just the best model ever! Quite energetic about eating wood but lazy when it came to working which was perfect for me! If you get a chance the site should be up in a couple of weeks at www.heirloomwoodworks.com.
